Crossfit Gear – What to Buy

[ad_1]

A lot of people are aware of two really big suppliers of crossfit gear, but a lot of people don’t take the time to really look around on the internet. There are several different vendors that don’t spend as much on advertising, and can pass the savings along to you. So, don’t get caught up buying from only one vendor out there. You don’t need a special piece of equipment with a cool logo on the side to put in work, so don’t pay extra just for that.

Now, there are certain benchmark workouts that require certain crossfit gear, however, even if you can’t do the workout as prescribed, you can still get the job done by modifying it. For example, if you can’t afford a few extra bumper plates, just do a few more repetitions. If you don’t own a wall ball, just grab a heavy dumbbell and do the same motion. There are a number of substitutions, so you can always get a very similar workout in, to get similar results.

Crossfit gear is pretty easy to find online. Just type it into a popular search engine and bam, you have several sites offering a lot of similar products. However, you need to find reviews on the equipment, so you know the equipment is quality and will last a long time. So make sure you either type reviews into the search engine as well, or ask people who have bought similar equipment.

Another thing to remember, is to allocate your funds appropriately. Don’t spend a ton of cash on sweet high performance clothing, or other things that aren’t absolutely necessary. Spend the extra cash on a quality barbell that will last a lifetime and have great resale value. A high quality barbell will also protect your wrists, and give you the proper whip and flex in a bar that is ideal for Olympic weightlifting. You will also not have to worry about a high quality Olympic barbell ever bending.

Finally, a few items that are pretty necessary are bumper plates, a set of adjustable dumbbells and your own two feet. High quality bumper plates are important too, because I have seen some bumper plates break apart after only a couple months. With all of this in mind while looking for crossfit gear, you’ll be having a great crossfitting experience soon enough!
