Early Morning CrossFit Exercise

[ad_1]

If your CrossFit workout is not part of your first hour of the day, you’re missing out on a ton of benefit. Even if you prefer a later exercise program, exercise the first 30 or 45 minutes of your day and watch your health and productivity explode!

A morning exercise routine and healthy meal WILL take not only your CrossFit program, but your whole life to a next level! There is a reason the gym’s open early in the morning. Exercising first thing in the morning, followed by a good shake or light breakfast may be the best thing you can do to change your production. It will allow you to open up your schedule and will speed your metabolism and energy for the day.

Many have tried the morning workout, only to see it fade and end in a matter of days or weeks. Kids, work, cold weather, etc.., all seem to get in the way. A lot of people seem to think that the morning workouts are only for those with “no life” or a “better schedule”.

True, there are some people who can just not go to the CrossFit gym first thing in the morning. They might have hard commitments, such as kids at home, or a gym that is not open that early.

Well, there are options for the ones who definitely do not have the opportunity to hit the gym first thing in the morning. You will not believe how your day can change by just getting up a bit earlier and doing 20 minutes of “movement” prior to anything else. This can be activity like taking a short walk or light calisthenics. I know how hardcore the CrossFit athlete is, so before you say this will not do anything for you, remember it is in addition to your later workout. This suggestion is for those who definitely cannot leave for the gym in the early morning.

If your home life and gym hours allow it, but you are not going to workout first thing, you are doing yourself a disservice. We have all heard of Willpower and Habits. These are a couple of the things that set apart the CrossFit participant from the average athlete.

Having the willpower to start this morning ritual is necessary to create a change like we are talking about. Without it, your new program will wither and die on the vine. As with any new resolution, the first couple days are filled with optimism and energy. After a few days or weeks, roadblocks hit and the probability of extending your new habit diminishes greatly. This is when you need to keep using your willpower to persevere, knowing that within 4-5 weeks this new habit will become a natural part of your day and your mind will not fight it.

Please try the morning ritual and I guarantee you will never go back. You will find your production and overall health condition will skyrocket!

Keep Striving,

The CrossFit Team
